Xmas Party

Tonight is my company Christmas party and yes I said CHRISTMAS!!! I swear I hate that we can't say Christmas any more. December 25th is Christmas and we get that day off. All these people who bitch and moan about saying Christmas can go Fuck themselves. They don't complain about getting a paid holiday do they? Don't see them coming into work on Monday the 26th cause they don't celebrate Christmas do you. Fuck no, but because they complain about the holiday being called Christmas, we have to say Holiday...so I went to my holiday party tonight.

I started out round 6 pm, that was the start time of the party. Thought I would get there fashionably late, but there was so much fucking traffic I got there an hour later and most of the people had already eaten, so I got a drink and gulped that down.

I met up with my coworker and her husband and her brother and his girlfriend. We chatted for the next 45 mins and it was gift give-away time. All employees got a raffle ticket at a chance to win a gift. In years past, just the managers were the lucky ones to win gifts. This year a few of us, underlings, won gifts, but for the most part managers won gifts. The big gift of the night was a $200 AMX gift card and some girl who was friends with the party hostess won. It was kind of funny how the person who usually wins the "big" prize wasn't there, so the other office friend won. Hmmm, funny how that worked out.

After the prize give-away, my coworker and her family and I left. We said our goodbyes and we headed home. I was there for about 2 hours and total drive time for me was 90 mins, so it really wasn't worth the time. I did however, kiss the right ass and say hello to the right people at the party. I mean that is the reason you go to company functions anyways, right?
