CHRISTMAS 2005
Today is Christmas and I am so ready for our Christmas dinner. The only draw back is that my mom is not feeling too good to I have to help with the dinner. We are making Prime Rib crusted with rosemary, stuffed mushrooms, green beans tied with bacon, baked sweet potatoes and baked potatoes. We also have for antipasto some olives and brie and crackers.
For the most part dinner went well and we cleared the table and got ready for the next course, the fruit, nuts and candy course. During this course some of my mom's friends come over and the table began to refill with food. We added more chocolates and cookies to the table and then decided to merge the next course with this one.
The coffee pot was turned on and the dessert started to flow out of the kitchen like a choreographed dance number. We had cakes and pies and cookies and chocolates and fruit and donuts and ice creams and cup cakes and you name it, it was on the table. There was wine and eggnog and coffee being poured like the bottles were never ending.
During my dinner my cell phone rang and it was my buddy Scott and he was calling to tell me our friend Christy had gone into labor a month early and was going to have her baby today. He was heading to the hospital to see them. I wish I could have gone, but I had to help my mom with her guests. I got a call a little later from him to hear Christy delivered her son, Logan, o-natural! He was healthy and no complication for mom or son.
It seems everyone had a great Christmas Day. The next day, my parents and I were going to the GA Aquarium because I got them and my uncle season passes. Since I was in town, we thought we would go. So that is our big plan for tomorrow.
Peace,
DeMo
