cCommittee Report

I have joined two committees at my condo; social and facilities and have been appointed the chair of both. Not sure how that worked out, but it did. I really didn't mind at first, but now I can't stand being in charge of the committees.

The social committee is enjoyable because it is the FUN group. We plan the parties and get to do all the fun things for the condo, but I when you get a group of people together from all different backgrounds, ages and time schedules it can get pretty difficult at times. Luckily, this group of people is easy to get along with.

The facilities group, well that is another story. This committee is formed to help solve the issues related to anything seen on the property. We are in charge of landscaping, furniture, flowers, you see it we do it. The only problem is we can never meet because everyone has their own schedule and no one seems to be flexible, so it is just me who is on the committee at this point.

The facilities committee has a meeting tonight and all but one other person has backed out. So there will be two of us tonight to discuss the new landscaping and flower arrangements as well as the automatic light switches. I hope we do a good job because what we say goes.

Since there seems to be a lack of support from both committees, I will have to write a charter for both. I have some experience writing by laws and code of conducts as well as reading charters, so I am hoping writing a charter won't be too difficult. I guess only time will tell.
