Maggiano Gang

I met with my friends from Maggiano's tonight and damn if I don't miss them. I met them 4 years ago when I started working at Maggiano's. With open arms, these people welcomed me and befriended me without any questions. No matter what has been going on in our lives we have all stayed in touch and the funny thing is that none of us work at Maggiano's now, but without that damn place, we would have never met.

First we have Natasha and Trisha who were cocktail waitresses when I started working at the Magg. They were the resident hotties and the first to leave. Then there is Trexler, but his ass didn't show up tonight. No hard feelings for the Trex, I am sure he was sleeping off the night before. Trex was a bartender and worked with me up in banquets. He is a trip and a half and if his face wasn't red and sweat wasn't dripping off his head, then it wasn't a good night. And last but not least there is Charlie. I think he was 21 when I met him, or 20, but he looked all of 18. He started off as a food runner then moved to a server and into a bartender position. All of these people are good hearted and I know would be there for me no matter what.

We hung out at Fritti for a few drinks then headed to a bar for some dinner. We got there and ordered our drinks, well the ladies did, cause the guy seemed to be into them and didn't really care about me and Charlie. Then the bartender's helper came over and took our order. I ordered a Crown and Ginger, but they were out of Crown, so I went for Maker's Mark...they were out of that as well. I then ordered a Jack and Coke. The bartender took our food order and walked away, not 5 minutes later did he come back and ask if we were doing OK and if we wanted some food. We all looked at each other, like we were the ones confused. I said I guess we know were the Crown went.

The bartender's helper waited on our table for most of the time, but we found out that she didn't really work there, she was just "helping out." What she needed to help was her stomach which was flopping out from her sweater! Then Charlie said he noticed that the bartender was doing shots, so we ate and left and headed back to Fritti.

After a while we all said our good byes and made plans to see each other the next time I am in town. Damn I miss them already, but we stay in touch and the best part about having great friends is that you can go without talking for months and still have that bond like you just left them the day before.

Peace,
DeMo
