1st Weekend
The plane ride down to GA was extremely enjoyable. As we took off from National, I was able to finally see what Fall looked like. The sky was illuminated by the sun which was a burnt orange. The ground was filled with cotton balls colored of autumn. The trees had turned in such a way all we could see from the plane was a sea of reds, oranges, yellows and browns that I have never seen before. In combination with the setting sun, the Earth's changing scenery had a glow that made me think about how living in GA does allow you to miss out on certain season changes.
I am not saying that we don't have season changes in GA, or that the trees don't change, or you can't go to the mountains of GA to see the beauty of nature in change, but for me living south of Atlanta, that is Metro Atlanta, you kinda do miss out on a good part of nature.
As I look out of the window from my house, we have some trees with turned leaves, but for the most part we have pine trees. Pine trees have pine needles and those needles go from green to brown and that is about all the color we see. So for me to experience the abundance of color in one place at one time was such a shock to my system. I never knew how nice Fall could be.
Makes me appreciate those days as a child when my dad was able to rake up those piles of leaves for my to jump into. Ahh to be a child again!
Peace,
DeMo
