Gobble, Gobble, Gobble
Well it's Turkey Day, so Happy Thanksgiving...
Last night I hung out with some of my friends from the old fraternity. These are the guys who I met when I 1st went to GA State and who were the ones who 1st taught me the ways of being Greek. The funny part is I don't remember most of those nights. But, nonetheless, we all go together last night at, what else, a local bar for a few drinks. After saying our hellos and making our first conversations, we moved on to our next spot where we would have dinner and a few more drinks.
We went to an Irish pub for dinner and took over the back booth that was like a big conference table, but with beer. A few more guys joined us there and we began to reminisce about the old days and how much fun we had doing stupid things. Most of these guys I have not seen in years, so it was really cool to hang with them last night.
Most people say the being Greek is just buying your friends, but you know you just can't buy friends like this. After dinner we headed out to another destination, bar, and then we went to another for our final stop of the evening. When we were there, we saw 2 things that puzzled us.
The first, was a guy who was wearing a short sleeve shirt with a scarf. He had the scarf wrapped up tight, so he must have been cold. Once he took the scarf off, we noticed he had his collars up on his polo shirt. He looked like a total pussy! I thought that look had finally went way, oh wait it did in the early 80's after Judd Nelson went to rehab. FYI...flip your fucking collars down.
Then second, which was the best!!!, was this guy who had a hair cut I could only wish I had a picture of. Picture it; business in the front and a party in the back, yeah I know mullett. You're probably saying what's so "best" about that. Well this guy got his saying twisted. He thought it said Business in the back party in the front. He had this short hair cut with a mullett like swoop of hair coming down his forehead. He looked like a total dork! This fucker actually wanted his hair to look like that. Remember back in the day of rat tails and duck tails, now put them together and wear them between your eyes and that is what this guy had. Lord, can we say TOOL!
As the night was ending, we all had a great time and there were 2 thing that I hear this night that I will never forget. They are "meat curtains" and 'fat bags". Two terms I have never heard of before and two terms I will never forget.
Have a great Thanksgiving and remember what your thankful for. Great friends and great family is always at the top of my list.
Peace,
DeMo
