Big Dippers
Stars and their mouths, now I am not going to comment on Michael Richards and his ‘N’ bomb because I think that was just plain dumb. I don’t think he is a racist, but just ignorant and unfortunately caught up in the moment. Not that I am saying that gives him a reason, but that I am not going to give him any more publicity than he has already received.
What I do want to talk about is the big mouth that Rosie O’Donnell has. I like Rosie and have appreciated all her hard work for the charities her celebrity has helped. I am getting tired of her gay soap box she tends to stand on and how she is now the only person, who for some reason, speaks for all the gay people out there.
From what I have read, she called out Kelly Ripa for being a Homophobic because
last week on Kelly’s show Clay Aiken co-hosted with her. While Kelly was talking, Clay placed his hand over her mouth to shut her up (as we all would love to do), and she said to him “I don't know where that hand has been."
Rosie said on her show that if Aiken was a "straight guy, a cute guy" or, for instance, Mario Lopez, Ripa wouldn't have made the same remark. But what gets me is why is Rosie the one outing Aiken. Aiken, of course, has never said anything publicly about his sexuality.
Ripa called into the View and told Rosie she was referring to it being Cold and Flu season and she didn’t want to get sick. That Rosie’s accusations were “outrageous" and "irresponsible," and I have to agree. From the start of Ripa’s show, the tension between Ripa and Aiken was high. They aired the Halloween show when Ripa dressed up as Aiken and I guess he was not impressed. From that point it was all down hill.
I just wish Rosie would stick to doing what she does best. Raising money for charity and making her co-hosts mad. I don’t know why she has to attack other shows and their co-host. She has 3 of her own to go through first. Hell, start with Elizabeth, I can’t stand her!
Peace,
