Quicker Update

The folks visit was nice. I think they were here about 3 hours before the first fight broke out. Not too bad. I figured it would have started a bit later in the evening, but I knew it would have started, it always does. We went to MD for crab cakes for Father’s Day and my friends Mara and Jim came with us. I needed some sanity in the car with me when dealing with my parents. Thank God, because someone else witnessed the conversation about my dad and him changing his initials to JDDM. Since our last name is De Marco, he feels that each of the letters that are capitalized justify its own initial. This is wrong, but there is not telling him. That would be like someone with the last name O’Malley having the initials O M; wrong! We went round and round with him, getting madder and madder until we had to just drop the conversation. He could not get it into his head that he was wrong and we would not change his mind no matter what we said. He is just a stubborn old man whose mission is to drive everyone crazy. I am just glad Mara and Jim where there to see it 1st hand.

I am still getting over my cold. Sudafed cold and sinus is a savior and I recommend it for anyone who has a slight cold and wants to knock it out quick!

My SUV on the other hand is not knocked out quick. I finally got it back last night, after 2 weeks and noticed 2 gouges indented into my back bumper. I told the insurance company and they said they would take care of it, but the agent called me and said they would “investigate” the situation. That means they are going to call the tow company and the tow company is going to say they didn’t do it, the service company is going to say they didn’t do it and then the insurance company is going to say they are not going to cover it. Then I am going to get fucked once again. Even though the gouges were not there when I left my car with the tower the night of the accident, it is my fault the bumper was damaged. Then, to top it off the agent told me to take my SUV home and return my rental.

So, I drove my SUV home and noticed some slight swaying in the drive home, but when I got home there was a loud clank/bang in the transmission coming from the rear of my SUV. I called the place I picked it up from and told them everything that had just happened and they sent a tow truck, once again, to tow my SUV back to the service center. They said to hold on to the rental and they will be looking into the problem. He said there are cases where there are hidden issues and this seems like one of those times. I said great, just my luck! So again, I am without my car and I am going on week 3.

To top it off, my work laptop is crashing and I am having it re-imaged tomorrow. That means they have to rebuild the hard drive and swipe everything from my current hard drive.

Peace,
DeMo
